COVID-19 Status Update // Thursday 26, 2020

We now have clarification from the state regarding our operations moving forward. Our service and parts departments will remain open as they are considered essential business. Unfortunately, automotive sales, both new and used, do not fall under the essential category so in accordance with Colorado’s Executive Order our sales department will be closed until Monday, April 13th.  We will keep you posted on any changes regarding this schedule.

We will continue to make our work environment here at the dealership as safe and healthy as possible and ask all employees to respect your co-workers and customers social distance.

Thank you!

COVID-19 Status Update // Tuesday 24, 2020

At this time, we will remain open to serve our loyal customers. We will continue to make the necessary adjustments in our facilities and daily operations to protect our valued employees and customers.

Yesterday the city of Boulder issued a “stay at home” ordinance effective today, March 24th, from 5:00 PM until 5:00 PM, April 10th.  Under this ordinance, Boulder residents are required to stay at home unless they are employed at a business that has been designated as an essential business.  Fortunately, automotive parts and repairs fall into the “essential” category, allowing Flatirons to remain open.

Regarding sales, we are waiting for clarification from our local dealer association. Until further notice, we will remain open under the adjusted hours of operation. We anticipate some changes will have to be made and we will keep you posted as soon as we have new information.

Keep a positive attitude and remember to respect the social distance rule.

Thank you!

COVID-19 Status Update // Friday 20, 2020

To Our Valued Employees,

We will continue to stay open in both sales and service until further notice.  Again, we are grateful for your efforts and support!

We still have several people out sick, but we have not had an employee tested and confirmed positive with the COVID-19 Virus. One employee did receive test results back that were negative. This is the first completed test we have seen from a Flatirons employee.

We were updated by Tom Doll from Subaru of America today.  Subaru has no plans to shut down production in Japan but will close the plant in Indiana for the last week of March. This is similar to what the domestic manufacturers are doing. This should not have a big impact on available inventory and sales as obviously demand has been impacted by the current situation.

Parts supplies and availability are currently meeting demand in support of dealer’s service operations.

Subaru is implementing several programs to incentivize our sales and support our loyal customers that will surely be needed as we remaining operational.

We will remain diligent in our efforts to keep our dealership safe and clean for our employees and customers. Remember we have plenty of gloves available for your use and we strongly recommend you use them as needed.

GLOVE UP! Boxes of gloves are located at both receptionist desks.

Again, if you are not feeling well please inform your manager and stay at home.

Stay healthy and thank you!

COVID-19 Status Update // Thursday 19, 2020

To Our Valued Employees,

We will continue to stay open in both sales and service until further notice. Again, thank you for your support and commitment. These are certainly not easy times, but thankfully we are operational and serving our customers.

In yesterday’s notice, we indicated that currently, we have not had an employee tested and confirmed positive with the COVID-19 Virus. This is still the case. However, we have had several employees with the appropriate symptoms being diagnosed as presumably infected with the Virus. Because test kits are in short supply, medical professionals are telling patients with specific symptoms they may have COVID-19. This is the appropriate and safest approach. Employees with this diagnosis have been asked to stay home until they can show a negative test or have stayed home the required amount of days.

We will continue to do everything we can to maintain a safe and clean work environment for our employees and customers. Yesterday we received 5000 gloves, so please use them as needed here at the dealership. As communication is critical, if you have any input on the steps, we are taking, please let us know (you can leave a comment below). We are sanitizing the building and touchpoints based on the following schedule:

Again, if you are not feeling well please inform your manager and stay at home.

Thank you !

COVID-19 Status Update // Wednesday 18, 2020

To Our Valued Employees,

Thank you for your support and your commitment during these uncertain times.

We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and the impact as it relates to our business.

We are fortunate to be in our respective industry and the role we play in the daily lives of the people in our community. Needless to say, other Boulder businesses have been impacted more severely than we have.

We will remain open for both sales and service until further notice.

Our top priority is the health and well-being of our staff, customers and our community. We are taking extra precautions at the dealership and working diligently to maintain our workplace to the standards set forth by the CDC.

Currently we have several employees who are not working due to illness. However, none of these employees have been diagnosed with COVID-19. We will continue to monitor their status and keep you posted on any changes. We wish them a speedy recovery!

Again, if you are not feeling well please inform your manager and stay at home.

Keep a positive attitude and smile on your face.

Scott Crouch

Opening COVID-19 Message

The health and safety of Flatirons Subaru's employees is our number one priority as we move forward with the threat of the COVID-19 Virus. We believe open communication and transparency is critical and, with that in mind, this text will be the first of daily texts that Flatirons will be sending to all employees (no later than 5:00 PM daily) updating you on our operations in relation to the current working environment.

We realize the situation is very dynamic and will change, but currently we have made the decision to remain open and service our loyal customers.

As an employee of Flatiron's, we want you to feel safe and comfortable working under these conditions. We will be making every attempt to clean and disinfect high touch points in Service and Sales including available inventory and service vehicles.

We encourage all employees to wear gloves and follow the preventative guidelines suggested by the CDC // CLICK HERE FOR GUIDELINES

If you feel sick or believe you have been infected with the virus, please inform your manager and please see your doctor and stay at home until further notice.

We understand that you may not be comfortable working during this time. If this is the case, please inform your manager so that staffing adjustments can be made as needed.

While our routine is anything but normal for now, we hope you stay safe and healthy. Please don't panic, we are all going through this together.

Thank you for your commitment and being a part of the Flatirons Subaru family.
